Abigail "Sis. Abby" Wallace

Abigail “Sis. Abby” Wallace, age 65 of Rolla, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at her residence.

Sis. Abby was born on September 21, 1958, in St. Louis, a daughter to the late W.C. and Lue Janice (Hardin) Clenney.

Sis. Abby had been employed at the Allied Health Care Company in St. Louis for several years and was also a homemaker.

Sis. Abby’s faith in God was strong and she read her bible daily. She loved being part of her church. Sis. Abby was currently a member of the Calvary Apostolic Church in St. James and formerly of the West Side Pentecostal Church in St. Louis and the Prince of Peace church in St. Louis. She taught  Bible Basics Children Ministry at the Prince of Peace church and brought it with her to the Calvary Apostolic Church. She taught both children and adults alike for over 25 years. Sis. Abby was very active in her church. A self-taught piano player, she enjoyed singing and playing for her church family. Sis. Abby enjoyed crocheting, taking care of her cats, and collecting anything with a yellow smiling face on it. She has a huge heart and was there for anyone who was in need of help. She will be missed greatly by her family and her church family.    

Sis. Abby is survived by: one daughter, Jackie Barton and her husband John of Coraopolis, PA; two sons, Jeff Wallace and his wife Marlaina of St. James and Shannon Adams and his wife Melinda of Washington; seven grandchildren, Bryce, Brooke, Jackson, Grayson, Shannon, Jr, Laura, and William; and one brother, Nathanial Clenney and his wife Lori of Linn, MO as well as many extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Sis. Abby was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Clenney and two sisters, Joanne Tate and Rachael King.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary Apostolic Church in St. James.  Interment will take place at a later date at the St. Mathews Cemetery in St. Louis.
