Alesa Rea Birdsong

Rolla, MO - Alesa Rea (Busque) Birdsong “Red”, 51 of Rolla MO passed away on March 22,

2023 at Phelps Health after an extended battle with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease.

She was born in Augusta, Maine on September 8, 1971, the daughter of the late Richard

Busque and Lynn (Pennewell) Gruber.

Alesa had a love for a good bargain and enjoyed thrifting, riding her horse Annie, 4-wheeler

rides, and floating down river. Alesa always cherished her time spent with her family and friends

and anything that involved flowers.

Alesa was predeceased by her father Richard Busque, her grandmother Rea Pennewell, her

grandfather Forest Busque and her grandsons Lane and Thomas Birdsong.

She is survived by her husband John Birdsong Sr., their son Justin and grandson Stihl. Her

mother Lynn Gruber, Brother TJ Busque and his wife Amanda and their children Bailey and

Madison. Sister Crystal Holloway and her husband Joshua and their children Morgan and

Kyson. Son, John Birdsong Jr. and his children Keegan and Jayden Finch, Angel and Pheobe

Birdsong and Journey Birdsong. Daughter, Elizabeth Pryor and her children Paige and Caleb

Booty as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extend family from Maine.
