Benjamin Travis Davis

Benjamin Davis, of Davisville, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on April 14, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on July 26, 1965, in St. James, Missouri, Benjamin was the beloved son of Betty Davis Metcalf and Willie Jo Davis.

Benjamin lived a life rooted in hard work, faith, and kindness. He spent many years in welding before following his passion for the land, taking horticulture classes that led him to work in a local winery. He became an extraordinary gardener. His hands could fix almost anything, and he was widely respected in his community for his mechanical know-how, creative problem-solving, and quiet generosity.

He found joy in the simple things — the stillness of the woods, the thrill of the hunt, and casting a line on a quiet morning. He had a great sense of humor and a deep faith in God, which guided his life and shaped the way he treated others. Benjamin was always willing to lend a hand, share a laugh, or offer wisdom when it was needed most.

He is survived by his cherished daughter, Shuria Davis; his loving siblings, Trina, Reva, Susan, and Terry; and countless friends and neighbors who were touched by his warmth and integrity.

In honor of Benjamin’s wishes, there will be no formal service. A celebration of life with close friends and family will be held at a later date.

He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
