Carrel “CD” Dover, age 79, passed away on June 2, 2023, at his home in Waynseville. CD was born on April 18, 1944, in Campbell, MO to Andrew Jackson and Ruby Angeline (Dosier) Dover.
On November 21, 1964, he was married to Pansy J. Thompson.
CD was a man of many talents, although he focused his tremendous skills on furniture refinishing and antique restoration.
He was a proud member of the NRA, and it can be said that CD never met a stranger. He loved meeting and talking with people, often with his family asking, “How did you meet them?”. He took great joy in making people laugh, which was something he did until his last days. CD enjoyed hunting and fishing with his close friends as well as gardening. He and Pansy worked many hours in their garden tending to their flowers, vegetables, and fruit trees. After growing the fruits and veggies came the cooking and canning, which was something CD always looked forward to doing. CD especially loved to build things and work with the tools he passed down to him from his father. He was most proud of the house he built for himself and Pansy in Waynesville.
CD was predeceased by his parents, brothers Kenneth Dover, Darrel Dover, Carl Dover, William Dover and Clarence Dover; sisters Verda Fieser and Wilma Swinford.
