Daniel F. Murphy, age 72, of Rolla passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024. He was born on May 10, 1951, to William J. and Rosemary Sue (Crumpler) Murphy.
Daniel graduated from Rolla High School in 1970 and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Southwest Missouri State University.
He worked as a Probation and Parole Officer for the Missouri State Boad of Probation and Parole while also serving as Program Director for Murphy Enterprises S.A.T.O.P (Missouri State Substance Abuse Traffic Offender Program).
Daniel enjoyed playing many sports, outdoor activities and playing his harmonica.
Survivors include his older brother William J. Murphy Jr., his son Will Murphy and children Gavin and Bailey Murphy all of Paducah, Kentucky; younger brother David V. Murphy and his former wife Debbie Murphy and their two sons Cody Murphy and his wife Brenda Murphy with their son Jackson Murphy of Ashland and Cole Murphy with his two children Jadyn and Jagger of Ozark.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents William and Rosemary Sue Murphy and his sister-in-law Judith (Null) Murphy.
A private family service will be held.
