We are saddened to announce the passing of Danny Charles Richards, age 73, who passed away peacefully on March 2, 2024 in St. James, MO, in the company of his loving family.

Danny Charles (Chuck) Richards is survived by three children, Bonnita Bullock and her husband Eric Bullock of St. James, Jason Richards and his wife Christine Richards of Branson, and Charlie Richards; four grandchildren, Christopher Bullock, Madison Richards, Danny Richards, and Skyla Richards; three siblings, Yuvonne Richards, Glenda Ford, Tauna Richards, as well as his beloved Bonnie Lou Richards.

Danny Charles (Chuck) Richards is preceded in death by his mother and father, Norma Imo (England) Richards and William Charley Richards; four siblings, Delynn Mayfield, Mick Richards, Judy Masters, and Curtis Richards.

Chuck served in the United States Army for 20 years as a member of the Armored Calvary. He earned many medals during his military service, but is most proud of two. The National Defense Service Medal for his service during the Vietnam War. The Meritorious Service Medal earned for his outstanding non-combat achievements during peacetime.

 After completing his military service, he was an active member in many communities and churches. Chuck provided more than 20 years of volunteer and social work, most recently volunteering at the St. James Veterans Home as a Senior Companion. In his early 50’s, he obtained his Bachelors degree in Psychology and Social Services, with a focus on addiction, to aid him in the work he had been pursuing within his community and church. Chuck is a celebrated member of the Solid Rock Christian Church in St. James, Mo.

When not spending time with his family, his church, or volunteering, he loved hunting, fishing, and target practice.

Services will be held on March 8, 2024 at Solid Rock Christian Church (12525 C.R. 3390, St. James, MO 65559). Donations to Solid Rock Missionary Fund would be greatly appreciated.
