David Dewayne Hilman Sr

David Dewayne Hilman Sr., 69, of St. James passed away on Wednesday February 19, 2025, in Rolla. He was born on December 24, 1955, in Galesburg, Illinois to James F. Hilman and Ernestine Courtright. 

On May 18, 1993, he married Susan Joyce Gilbert in Rolla, she survives at the home. 

David worked at Chrysler before the factory shut down. He enjoyed spending time listening to his favorite rock music, fishing, mushroom hunting, and most of all spending time with friends and family. 

In addition to his wife, David is survived by a son David Hilman Jr. of Galesburg, daughters Terri Jo Hilman and Heidi Johnson also of Galesburg, Amy Austin of Aledo, Illinois, and Cassandra Hilman of St. James, His mother Ernestine Courtright, grandchildren Gabriel, Veronica, Cameron, Trayvonte, Matthew, Alyssa, Alexia, Alizea, Austin, Chloe, Zarik, Kynzlee, and Wyatt, great grandbabies, Anselmaria, Abraham, Amelia, and Sophia, and sisters Debbie Rinehart of Galesburg and Dena Stegal of North Carolina.

David is preceded in death by his father James Franklin Hilman of Galesburg.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
