Eugene G. Bailey

Eugene G. Bailey, age 80 of St. James, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Phelps Health in Rolla.

Eugene was born August 28, 1944, in Vichy, a son to the late Roy and Virgie (Matthews) Bailey.

He was a 1963 graduate of Ritenour High School on St. Louis.

Eugene had worked as plant manager for Thistle Silk Screening in Belle and Owensville before his retirement.

Eugene was not only an amazing father but a best friend to his children. He lived a very simple life and loved all the simple things in life. A piece of our hearts left with him. His love for his family will always remain in our hearts.

Eugene is survived by, one daughter, Sarah Bell and her husband Michael of Rolla, two sons, Todd Bailey of Rolla and Jimmy Bailey of St James, grandsons, Cody Bell and Cameron Bell both of Rolla and Austin Bell and wife Mackenzie of Joplin,  great grandchildren, Brandi and Chloe Bell of Joplin, one brother, Dennis Bailey and his wife Muffy of St. James as well as many other friends and neighbors.

In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by one brother Leroy "James" Bailey.
