Evelyn McCollum

Evelyn Lee McCollum, age 72, of Dixon, passed away December 18, 2015 at her residence.   Evelyn was born May 26, 1943, in Manhattan, NY, a daughter to the late Roy E. and Evelyn F. (Prohasker) Kelly.   She was a 1962 graduate of Rogers High School in Newport, RI.   On August 10, 1963 she was united in marriage to Ralph (Butch) McCollum. He preceded her in death.   She moved to Dixon from Newport, R.I. in 1995. Evelyn was employed at Quaker Window Products in Freeburg for 10 years and enjoyed gardening and taking care of her family of cats. She will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved her.   Evelyn is survived by: one daughter, Terrie Robinson and her husband Rob of Portsmouth, RI; one granddaughter, Noelle Robinson of Portsmouth, RI; one grandson, Peyton Robinson of Portsmouth, RI; two sisters, Patty Kelly and her husband Rich of Corning, CA and Linda Moore of Bristow, OK; two nieces, Kelly Foster and her husband Sean of Topeka, KS and Shari Gee and her husband James of Bristow, OK; great-niece's, Courtney and Emily Foster; great-nephew's, Nathan and Jordan Gee; sister-in-law's, Sandy Smith of Portsmouth, RI, Mary Orr of Fall River, MA, and Betty Ann Gones of Newport, RI; and brother-in-law's, David McCollum of Portsmouth, RI, Billy McCollum of Portsmouth, RI, and Johnney McCollum of Greer, SC, as well as many extended family members and friends.   In addition to her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeffrey La Pierre and a brother-in-law, Kenny O. Moore.
