Frank Arthur Adam, Jr.

  Frank Arthur Adam Jr, age 57, and a longtime Phelps County resident, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, after a lengthy illness.   He was born in Rolla, Mo., a son to the late Frank Sr. and Deletta "Dee" (Werner) Adam.  He will be greatly missed by surviving family members: his stepmother, Erma Adam, of St. James;  one brother, Glenn Adam Sr, New Lenox, Illinois; three sisters, Jan O'Hanlon (Tom), Linda Adam of Surprise, Arizona, and Faye Adam (Terri) of Kansas City, Missouri; one step-brother, Alan Sachs, St.James, one step sister, Rita Tiedt, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; dear friends, Connie and Albert Myers of Rolla, and very special friend, Brenda Melton of Rolla as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Lucy Adam.   He was a graduate of Rolla High School and East Central College.   Frank was a long time employee of the Phelps County Assessor's Office before retiring due to illness in 2013. Frank loved the outdoors and anytime he could get out and four wheel or brush hogging when he was still able .  He loved to fish and squirrel hunt.  He loved movies, video games, computers and collecting.  He loved his old cat, Nefertiti and she loved only him.  He was the third generation of Frank Adam(s) to live on the family farm. Services will be private at Frank's request.   Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation, the Rolla Animal Shelter or to a charity of the donor's choice,  Cremation Services were under the direction Rolla Cremation and Memorial.
