George Gomes

George Gomes, age 83 of Salem, Mo., passed away June 10, 2017 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla. George was born on March 26, 1934 in Middletown, RI., a son to Benjamin and Georgiana (Mello) Gomes. George attended school at Portsmouth and New Port, RI. On February 25, 2006, he was united in marriage to Charlena Ousley in Casa Grande, AZ. She survives of the home. George attended Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church in Salem, Mo. George enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling, wood working, and leather working. Survivors include his wife Charlena, two sons, George Gomes Jr. and Randy Gomes of New England, step children Kim and Ruben Armenta of St. James, MO., Kathy Raymond of Salem, Mo., Kris Ousley of Illinois, twelve grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. George is proceeded in death by his parents; Benjamin and Georgiana (Mello) Gomes, three brothers, Benjamin Gomes Jr., Thomas and Charles Gomes. Memorial Service will be held on June 25,2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church, Dent County Road 2550, Salem, MO.
