George Greer

George Greer, age 85, passed away on August 21, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Sue Ann, daughters Dee Anne Long (Kelly), and Denise Fensholt (Ed) and six grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Nancy Leek, Charles Greer (Beth), Bryce Greer (Judy), Naaman Greer, and Irvin Greer(Becky).

George enjoyed playing softball, photography, golf and singing in the North Cross UMC choir. He followed the KU basketball team, the Royals baseball team, and the KC Chiefs.

George was a member of North Cross United Methodist church for over 50 years. He served as Chair of Pastor Parrish, was on the Trustees, Administrative Board, Council of Ministries, and a member of the Pathfinders Sunday School Class. George was also a member of the North Kansas City Rotary Club where he received The Paul Harris Award for his service.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at North Cross UMC starting at 1:30 with a reception in the Fellowship Hall afterwards. The family requests no flowers but has set up a fund for the choir at North Cross.
