George L Weigel

George L. Weigel, age 68, died at his home on November 3, 2023.  He was born on August 26, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of George A. Weigel and Shirley Mae (Livengood) Weigel-Doolin.

After high school, George served honorably in the U.S. Army.  After serving in the military, he married the love of his life, Connie Hope, and settled in Cahokia, Illinois.  They celebrated 46 years of marriage in March.  George enjoyed the NFL, especially the Super Bowl Champions, the St. Louis Rams.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Connie (Hope) Weigel, are his daughter, Mandy (Weigel) Odom, and her special friend, Leon Callahan, grandchildren, Christopher Hope and special friend Allie Walker, Isabella Odom, two brothers, Allen Weigel and special friend, Julie Hamilton, Steve Weigel and his wife Brenda, two sisters, Karen (Weigel) Zeller and her husband Gary, Dianne (Weigel) Western, and her husband, Rich, two brothers-in-law, Victor Hope and his wife Jennifer and Rick Hope and his wife Dena, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.  He was predeceased by his father, George A. Weigel.
