Gerald "Jerry" Leon Gregory

Gerald “Jerry” Gregory of Edgar Springs passed away on January 26, 2024, at Phelps Health in Rolla.  He was born on August 27, 1937, in Oakland, California to the late Gerald Noel and Mabel Jane (Parsons) Gregory.

He grew up on the western slope of Colorado and eventually received an associates degree from UCLA.   On March 27, 1959, Gerald married Gail Rochelle, in Uravan, Colorado.

Gerald spent over 20 years serving his country in both the Navy and Army. He spent three years in the Navy then joined the Army for 20 years as a helicopter pilot and as a flight instructor.   After retiring from the service, he spent his time restoring antique furniture and playing in several local bowling leagues.  He also enjoyed western movies and working on his crossword puzzles.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Gerald Leon (Lela) Gregory II of Rolla, daughter Rochelle Jane (Gregory) Horn of Edgar Springs, Grand children Niccole (Charles) Horn-Speed of Rolla, Wesley Horn and Amber Farrar of Rolla, Josh and Teah Ortiz of Rolla, and several great grandchildren.

Gerald is predeceased by his parents and a grand daughter Virginia “Jennie” Horn.

Services will be Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 1to 3 at Eugene Northern Community Hall in Rolla, MO.
