Gloria Jean Russell

Gloria J. Russell age 69 of Rolla, MO passed away peacefully April 26, 2016, at Rolla Manor Care.  Gloria was born on July 14, 1946, in St. Louis, MO.  A daughter of William and Ruby (Folks) Overhauser.  Gloria attended Berkeley High School and went on to nursing school where she obtained her LPN license. On March 17, 1967, she was united in marriage to Glenn Russell at the Bel Nor Community of Christ Church in St. Louis, MO.   Gloria was a lifelong, active member of the Community of Christ Church.  Her strong faith in God connected her to her church community throughout her life. Along with church Gloria was a passionate Cardinals baseball fan.  GO CARDS!  She enjoyed crafting, card games, reading, and camping.  She loved her family with great devotion and enjoyed quality time with her children and grandchildren. Gloria is survived by her husband Glenn of Edgar Springs, MO.  Her daughters Gloria Russell of Salem, OR, Glennda Sutton and husband Deric of Rolla, MO, and Gail Sherer and husband Charles of Mountain Home, ID.  She is also survived by her younger siblings Sharon Walley and husband Bill of Forsyth, MO, William Overhauser, Jr and wife Cindy Wills of Florissant, MO, and Ann Overhauser and husband George Tutza of Afton, MO.  Gloria was also a beloved grandmother of 5 and cherished cousin, aunt, and second "Mom" to many. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday May 3, 2016, at 6 p.m. at the Bel Nor Community of Christ Church in St. Louis, MO.
