Henry Dale Hudson

Henry "Dale" Hudson age 66 of Newburg, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.

Dale was born April 12, 1958, in St Louis, a son to the late Cleatis H. and Sylvia J. (Nichols) Hudson.

Dale attended Coulterville, IL grade school, and started Newburg R2 School in 3rd grade. He was a 1976 graduate of Newburg R2 High School.

Dale served his country in the United States Army and also worked for Rawlings Factory in Newburg, Missouri State Highway Department in Rolla, Allied Van Lines in Rolla, WTS Trucking in Cuba and as a Cab driver in Rolla.

Dale would make trips once or twice a year from Iowa to visit with his family until 2022, when he decided to move back to Newburg. His health wasn’t the best. He faithfully watched St Louis Cardinals & KC Chiefs on TV. If there was a game with either one on TV, you knew he was watching them. He enjoyed going to the local ball field and watch the baseball games when he felt good. Dale & Doreen would watch a western or crime show together often. He enjoyed playing games on his phone while watching TV. Most of all he enjoyed his visits and calls from his friends & family especially cherished the ones from his girls and grandkids when possible. 

Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth (Jason) Graen of Rolla, Tonya Lynn of Newburg, Michelle McWhorter of St Robert, three brothers, David (Donna) Hudson of Rolla, Danny (Maria) Hudson of Kansas City, Donald (Connie) Hudson of Doolittle, one sister, Doreen Moore of Newburg, and his companion Dawn Carpenter Heidick of nearly 20 years of Webster City Iowa, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.

 In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Ricky Moore, Sr.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Pea Ridge also known as Roach Cemetery, Phelps Co Rd 8200 in Doolittle.
