Jacqueline “Jackie” M. Maddox, age 78, of St Robert, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the Silverstone Nursing Facility in Rolla.
Jackie was born June 30, 1943, a daughter to the late Arvel and Nell Keeney.
She was united in marriage to Robert Maddox. Robert survives of their home near St. Robert.
Jackie owned and operated the Mr. Charles and Whistle Beauty Shops in Rolla for 49 years before retiring. She won Miss Congeniality and 1st runner up in the Miss South Central Beauty Pageant in 1962.
Jackie’s hobbies included traveling with her husband Robert, painting, collecting rocks and crystals, and shopping every chance she would get. She especially loved time spent with her family and friends. Jackie had a smile that would light up the world. She will be missed tremendously by her family and those that knew and loved her.
Jackie is survived by: four sons, Tony Burnett and his wife Terri, Erik Burnett, Donnie Burnett and his wife Jenny, and Joseph Maddox and his wife Trisha; three daughters, Jill Grogan and her husband Gary, Jami Burnett, and Aungela Spurlock; twenty one grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Dennis Keeney as well as many extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her grandma, Glady Reardon and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Celebration of Life services for Jackie are planned for August 7, 2021 at the Gear City Church located at 305 East First Street in Rolla from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
