Janet Watkins

Janet Watkins, passed away December 21, 2021, while receiving hospice care at the

age of 77 years.

Janet was born April 29, 1944, in Rolla, Missouri, a daughter to the late Henry and Edith
(Barnette) Scott.

Janet was married to the late Luman Watkins for 55 years.

Janet and her husband Luman were the owners of Watkins Portables for 45 years with Janet running the company herself for the last seven years after the passing of her husband. While not working, she enjoyed spending time with family, going to bluegrass festivals or to the movies and theater, cooking meals for her family, and watching westerns. Janet was proud of her large collection of bells.

Survivors include: three sons, Scott Watkins and his wife Paula of Rolla, Jeff Watkins and his wife Susan of Rolla, and Randy Watkins and his wife Frederica of Rolla; five grandchildren, Jamie Bedrosian and her husband John of St. Louis, Jessie Edwards and her husband Zachary of Valirico, Florida, Jeremy Watkins of Rolla, Amber Treece of Rolla, and Joshua Treece of Webster Groves; two great-grandchildren, John Bedrosian of St. Louis, and Marigold Ball of Columbia, Mo; and her sister Bettie Scott of Rolla as well as many extended family members and friends.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband Luman, and a brother Little Doss Scott

Janet will be buried at Macedonia Cemetery with her family present.

The family suggests memorials to the American Red Cross.
