Jeanelle Linda Hemenway (nee Fisher) of St. James, MO passed away
peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, December 2, 2022, at
the age of 56. Jeanelle was born on August 12, 1966 and beloved wife
of Raymond E. Hemenway; dear mother of Natalie Luzynski (Bob),
Kimberly Rutherford (Brad), Joseph Thomason (Ashley), and Chelsie
Rangeloff (DeSoto); loving grandmother of Emily Luzynski, Sara
Luzynski, Jonathan Luzynski, Lucas Rutherford, Addison Rutherford, and
Jinora Dickson, dear sister of Jeanine Fisher (Bart), George Fisher and
Jeanette Pearson (Mark); sister-in-law of Michael Hemenway (LuAnn):
beloved aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Jeanelle is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Jean Fisher.
Jeanelle was born on August 12, 1966 in Omaha, Nebraska and grew up
in Carter Lake, Iowa. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School
and recently received her Associates degree from East Central College.
Jeanelle served in the United States Navy, was a volunteer firefighter
for St. James Fire Protection District and worked at Missouri S&T as an
academic advisor. Jeanelle enjoyed spending time with her family and
friends, watching football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, gardening,
quilting, floating on the river, and camping with friends and family.
Jeanelle was devoted and loving to her family and friends; they meant
everything to her. She willingly gave up her time and self to help others
whenever she could. Jeanelle will be remembered by her one of a kind
personality, sarcastic sense of humor, big heart, perseverance, and
strong values she installed in her family. She was selfless, kind and a
caring woman. Jeanelle will be greatly missed by all who knew and
loved her.
We will have a celebration of Jeanelle’s life on January 7, 2023 for
anyone who would like to attend between the hours of 3pm-6pm at St.
James Fire Protection District Station 1 (903 N. Jefferson St., St. James,
MO 65559).
