Lavina Faustena Moore

Lavina Faustena “Flossie or Frosty” (Shepherd) Moore was born on October 11, 1931, in Arkansas, to Ira William “Bill” Shepherd and Rachel Louetta (Hyde) Bramlett. She married JM Moore on April 17, 1951, in Paragould, Arkansas. Together they had six children. She passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on November 19, 2023, in Rolla, Mo., after a short illness.

Faustena is preceded in death by her parents, Ira Shepherd (1927), Rachel Louetta Bramlett (1987), her stepfather, Charley H. Bramlett (1988), two sets of twin siblings: Bonnie Ray and Sonnia Faye Shepherd (1933), and Lacy Gene and Daisy Dean Bramlett (1940), brother, Harold Mitchell Bramlett (1952), ex-husband JM Moore (2004), brother, Ronnie Earl Bramlett (2014), sons, Terry Don Moore (2007), James Michael Moore (2022), and Ricky Harold Moore (2022).

She is survived by her sister Connie Pearl Rogers of Dolittle, Mo., brother Rodney Hale and Sharon of Dolittle, Mo., children: Susan Lynn and Dale Forester of Newburg, Mo., Darryl Ray and Rita Moore of Rolla, Mo., Jeffery Allen Moore of Crosby, Tx., daughters-in-law, Dooren Moore of Newburg, Mo., and Kathy Sparks of Ewing, Mo. Twenty-four grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren, and sixteen great-great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces/nephews, and great-great-nieces/nephews.

For twenty-three years she served as a Senior Companion. Her favorite recreational pastime was bowling; she was on a team for many years. An avid reader, she enjoyed traveling all over the world through her books. Her most precious treasures were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
