Linda Jean Walters

Linda Jean (Pustelnik) Walters, 70, of Illinois passed away on Saturday November 23, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Rolla. She was born December 21, 1953, in Blue Island, Illinois to Roy Pustelnik and Marcella “Marty” (Flassig) Bakker. 

Linda graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s degree in 1999 and with her Master’s degree in 2008. She worked for many years as an accountant. 

She loved spending time relaxing in nature, her pets, music, reading, and listening to talk radio.

Linda is survived by daughters Nikki Walters of San Marcos, Texas, Ashley Walters of Rolla, son Christopher Walters of Cortland, Illinois; two cherished grandchildren; siblings Diane Schrum, Peggy (Jae) Eismann, Mark (Mo) Pustelnik and many loved nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Marybeth (Pustelnik) Sukis and a nephew Mark Serletic. 

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
