Louis Philip Halvas, SR

Louis Philip Halvas Sr, age 74, of Rolla passed away at University Hospital on September 09, 2022.  He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on October 08, 1947, to Philip Clarence Halvas and Judith Rose Kidder Halvas. 

Louis attended Wislon High School in Long Beach, California.  He married Lillian Greenfield and worked at The Front Door Theatre and Accurate Auto.  He loved thrifting, listening to Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash.  Louis also enjoyed watching old cowboy movies, fishing, watching his “videos”, and collecting lighters.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 34 years Sue and both his parents.

Those left to mourn Louis are three children Sheri Halvas of Rolla; Louis Halvas, Jr. of Riverside, California, and Shannon Hammer of Rolla.  Grandchildren include Kevin Wright of Riverside, California, Jeremy Halvas of St. Robert, Mathew Jamison of St. James, Micah Jamison of Rolla, Sherilyn Jamison of Rolla, Joshua Hammer of Rolla, Isaiah Hammer of Desoto, Makayla Halvas of Kansas City, David Hammer of Rolla, Hayley Schycher and Ryan Schycher of San Antonio, Texas, Landon Halvas of Riverside, California.  Great-grandchildren are Jeremy Halvas, Jr, Thomas Halvas, Ivy Halvas, Elijah Halvas, Myah Halvas, all of St. Robert and Beckham Schyeker of San Antonio, Texas.
