Marsha began college as a voice major and later went on to study nursing at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio and passed her state boards in March 1978. Through the years, Marsha served on staff at various facilities including Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, St. Bernadine Hospital in California, Pattie A. Clay Hospital in Richmond, Kentucky and retired from her nursing career from Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky in 2002. Throughout her life, Marsha came to amass an impressive collection of nurse memorabilia which she donated to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center Nurses Auxiliary. She also had a love for animals, both four-legged and feathered and enjoyed spending time at the beach with her toes in the sand.

Family was Marsha’s greatest joy. She joins many loved ones in heaven where they all have no pain or sorrows. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Garnet Weldon, husband Joel Haberman, brother C. Michael Weldon and two sons, James Allan Saylors and William Michael Saylors. Surviving her is son, Thomas (Megan) Saylors of Rolla, Missouri, step-daughters Karen Sutton and Joanna Haberman, sister-in-law Coy Weldon, nephew Christopher Weldon as well as twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A private ceremony and celebration of life will take place in Oak Island, North Carolina for Marsha to eternally rest in peace at her favorite destination, where ocean waves and sandy beaches are forever and sunsets and high tides are how time is measured. Donations in Marsha’s memory may be made to Three Rivers Hospice in Licking, Missouri.
