Mary Lou Snodgrass

  Mary Lou Snodgrass, age 86 of Rolla, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at her home after a battle with cancer. Mary was born September 19, 1929, in Cass County, Texas, a daughter to the late John F. and Betty M. (Richardson) Lamon. On March 8, 1949, Mary was united in marriage to Buel P. "Jake" Snodgrass in Texas. He preceded her in death on August 22, 2005. Mary enjoyed spending time reading, crafting, quilting and baking. Her greatest joys were her family and watching the St Louis Cardinals. Mary is survived by: son, Philip Snodgrass and his wife Nancy of Ocean Springs, MS, son Rex Snodgrass of the home, daughter, Carol Bennett and her husband Joe of Rolla and son, David Snodgrass and his wife Lisa of Roanoke, VA; ten grandchildren, Josh, Sara, Kali, Sam, Alex, Nicholas, Christopher and Rachel Snodgrass and Brad and Derek (Amanda) Bennett; three great grandchildren, Adilene, Avery and Austen Bennett; two brothers, Harvey and MD Lamon as well as nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. In addition to her parents and spouse of 56 years, Mary was preceded in death by two brothers, Edd and Edward Lamon, three sisters, Allene Hobbs, Lorene King and Mae Standley as well as several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Phelps County Regional Hospice or to the Rolla Lions Foundation.
