Pamela "Pam" Gay Smith

Pamela “Pam Gay Smith, age 71 of Crocker, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Lifecare Centers of Waynesville.

Pam was born October 28, 1951, in Waynesville a daughter to the late Roger Bowles and Roberta Jean (Decker) Jones. Her stepfather, Cliff Jones also preceded her in death.

Pam loved her animals.  She enjoyed watching her cattle, feeding her donkey Brookie, feeding and watching her birds and butterflies, and she especially loved her dogs Gremlin and Ben.

Pam was the caretaker of her family, she always put others first and wouldn’t have it any other way. More than anything else in the world she loved her family and had a special fondness for the children and babies in her life.  Pam will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents and stepfather, Pam was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Bowles and two brothers, Clifton Jones and Jerry Bowles as well as her partner, Mike Singleton and a nephew, James Reedy.

Those left to mourn her include her brother, Lewis Bowles of Crocker, Nephews, Jarrett Reedy of Rolla, Jacob Reedy of Dixon, Brett Jones of Columbia, and Lewis Bowles Jr. of Crocker.  Nieces Jessica Jones of Doolittle, Shelia Layman of Crocker, and Sondra Ellis of Richland.  Pam leaves many to mourn her loss. Many that she considered her own children, grandchildren nieces and nephews.
