Penelope "Penny" Lane

Penelope “Penny” Lane, 79, of Rolla passed away on August 15, 2023, at home with her family by her side. She was born on March 3, 1944, in Arkansas City, Kansas to Marvin Roy Moore and Phyliss (Brant) Moore-Evans.  After high school she attended business college, after which she worked for and retired from Occidental Petroleum Company. 

She married Raymond Lane and was his loving partner until his death.  She attended Bluebell Baptist Church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma and following her move to Missouri she attended Hobson Community Church in Salem. 

Penny enjoyed sewing, fishing, and most of all spending time with her family. 

She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Ray, and a brother Wade Evans.

Those left to remember her is a daughter Elizabeth (David) Shockley, sons Craig (Barbara) Swift, Cos (Ethel) Swift; sisters Phyliss DeAnne Wheeler and Lynna Campbell; grandchildren Brennon (Jacie) Shockley, Blayne (Alejandra) Shockley, and Kacie Swift; great grandchildren Mila Shockley, Marin Shockley, and Sofia Shockley.

Services will be held October 21, 2023, at Bluebell Baptist Church with a burial in Sunrise Cemetery in Bristow, OK with Chris Lindsay officiating. 

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital.
