Phyllis Ann Phillips

Phyllis Ann Phillips passed away in her home on February 2nd, 2025 at the age of 83. She was a native to Rolla Missouri. She was baptized in the Little Piney River in Yancy Mills. Phyllis was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Her smile was contagious and would light up any room she entered. She enjoyed traveling, going to the casino and spending time with friends and family. She was also quite the golfer getting a hole in one at the Fort Leonard Wood Pine Valley golf course. While living in Alaska she thoroughly enjoyed salmon fishing. She was a fierce competitor in dominoes, keeping Jim in the boneyard. She also took pride in many years of service at Zeno’s Restaurant in Rolla. Phyllis and Jim absolutely adored raising their special gal, great granddaughter Emily Hopping.

Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, James Dale Phillips; Brother, Ronald (Norma) Phelps, two daughters, Claudette (Troy) Michels, Christina (Robert) Deardeuff; grandchildren; Jason (Shelly) Phillips, Brittany (Faron) Phillips, Valerie (Robbie) Test, Megan (Jeffery) Vincent, Cole (Mackenzie) Deardeuff, Taylor (Dalton) Pepe, Mason Michels and many beloved great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Phyllis is proceeded in death by her parents Claude and Ruth Phelps, Her son James Dean Phillips, Brother Claude Jr. and Marie Phelps, Sister Loretta and Jack Finley as well as her good friend Jeanne Yount as well as many more dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, it will be announced on Facebook as well as the Phelps County Focus.
