Ray Elsworth Allison, age 84 of Rolla, passed away September 22, 2017, at his residence. Ray was born on October 30, 1932 in Lecoma, Mo., a son to the late George and Ema Pearl (Brown) Allison. On July 6, 1953, Ray was united in marriage to Margaret Viola Walker who preceded him in death on June 2, 2016. Ray proudly served in the United States Navy as a SKCPO until his retirement in 1973, and then worked for Halliburton and Maggi Construction. Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mechanical work. Ray is survived by: five children, Carol A. Harrell of Rolla, Steven R. Allison of St. Roberts, Scott E. Allison of St. James, Bruce A. Allison of Lawton, OK., Brian K. Allision of Alamogordo, NM.; twenty-one grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Georgia E. Watson of Rolla, Roy J.Allison of Phoenix, AZ., Judy F. Huff of Houston, TX., Helen K. Vaughn of Rolla, and Kenneth H. Allison of Rolla. Addition to his parents and spouse, Ray is preceded in death by one son, Michael Allison; twin brothers, Donald and Robert Allison. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Rhea Cemetery with Reverend Gary Patterson officiating.
