Robert "Bud" Bashaw

Robert (Bud) Bashaw 88, of Dixon passed away on Thursday October 17, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. 

Bud was born in Ausable Falls NY, the oldest of 6 children on November 13,1935. Bud lived in the Dixon area for over 60 years. 

Bud was a Veteran and proudly served in the U. S. Army. He was a civilian employee and retired from Fort Leonard Wood working at the U. S. Army’s 58th Transportation Battalion. 

Bud was very close with his family and friends and loved to hunt and fish. 

Bud was proceeded in death by his parents Hector and Alice Bashaw, one brother Frank Bashaw, and one sister Joyce Passino all of Willsboro NY. 

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Betty, 3 daughters Teresa (Jerry) Moore of St. James, Patricia (George) Durtschi of Dixon, Debra (Tim) Townsend of Lebanon. 2 sons Keith (Missy) 

Kelley of Dixon, and Roger (Christy) Bashaw of Portsmouth VA. Sisters Nellie (Bill) Pulsifer of Lewis, NY, Phyllis Pulsifer of Willsboro, NY and Leta Pierce of Elizabethtown, NY.  Bud had 7 grandchildren, 18 Great grandchildren, and 5 Great Great grandchildren. 

Bud will be laid to rest at Mt. Olive Cemetary in Doolittle, MO. 

In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for expenses or a donation to a local Veterans charity of their choice.
