Robert Patrick Mihlfeld

Robert “Pat” Mihlfeld, 67, passed away August 14, 2024, in Rolla, MO after his battle with congestive heart failure. 

Pat was born July 17, 1957 in St Louis, MO to Vernon “Tyke” Mihlfeld and Dona (Dosenbach) Mihlfeld. Early in his childhood the family moved to Fredericktown, MO where Pat was raised and where he met his high school sweet heart and later wife, Jo Anne Halbrook. After graduating from Fredericktown High School in 1975, Pat joined the US Navy and served his country as a machinery repair man and later as a recruiter. 

Pat and Jo Anne were married in 1976 and to this union welcomed four children, Jacob, Sarah, Hannah, and Andrew. They together joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and were sealed as a family for time and all eternity. 

After serving his country, Pat was a life long learner and tried his hat at many business and career ventures. This took their family throughout Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma where they met many lifelong friends. Pat never knew a stranger and went out of his way to help his fellow man. He was a devoted son who called his mother every day. Pat was a proud member of his local Masonic lodges #213, #234, #110 throughout his life. 

Pat is survived by his loving wife, Jo Anne Mihlfeld, son Major Jacob (Shay) Mihlfeld, daughter Hannah (Joshua) Housewright, mother Dona Mihlfeld, brother “Mike” Mihlfeld, and sisters Diana Hayes and Nancy Pritchett. Eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. 

Pat was preceded in death by his children Sarah and Andrew Mihlfeld, his Father “Tyke” Mihlfeld, and his beloved brother-in-law and friend “Lynn” Halbrook.

September 7th from 1-3pm at the Farmington Ward building of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 709 S. Henry St. Farmington, MO and 

September 14th from 1-3pm at the Housewright home at 12075 Shawnee Hills Rd Rolla, MO.
