Robert E. Sieli

  Robert E. Sieli, age 72 of Salem, passed away Friday, September 29, 2017, at his residence. Bob was born on January 30, 1945, in St. Louis, a son to the late Joseph and Thelma (Rebori) Sieli. Bob graduated from Bishop DuBourg High School. On July 24, 2003, he was united in marriage to Marilyn (Turner) Salaman in Florence, S.C., she survives of the home. Bob was a proud veteran having served four years in the U.S. Air Force. After this he acquired his Master's degree in Education from the University of Missouri, Columbia. He taught school in Hallsville, Mo. and Salem, Mo. He also taught at SBU in Salem for twenty years. He was a member of Salem Full Gospel Church in Salem and member of Congregation of Messiah's Peace (Messianic). He enjoyed playing country and gospel music, trapping, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include: his wife, Marilyn of the home; three children, Abby Sieli of Salem, Robert Sieli II and wife Babs of Burien, WA., Paizlee Sieli and partner Robert Brallier of Columbia; one grandaughter Mila Gunthner, one stepson, Kurt Salaman and fiancé Mirta Santander of Boston, MA.; two brothers, George Sieli and wife Lydia of Columbia, and Tom Sieli and wife Cheryl of Mesa, AZ., and many nieces and nephews.  Robert is preceded in death by a sister, Ginny Jokisch, and one brother, Joe Sieli. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Salem Full Gospel Church in Salem. Interment will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Waynesville. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
