Ronald Leon James

Ronald Leon James, 78, of St. James passed away on Wednesday January 15, 2025, at his home. He was born on December 11, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Kenneth James and Imogene (Shackelford) Burnham. 

On February 21, 1998, he married Goldia Ann James in St. James, she survives at the home. 

Ronald worked for many years as a truck driver for St. James Transport. When he wasn’t on the road, he liked to ride his Harley and go fishing. Ronald was a proud veteran and a member of the St. James V.F.W. and D.A.V. 

In addition to his wife Goldia, Ronald is survived by brothers Michael Jay James, Leroy James, Jesse (Jan) James, and Kenneth (Corrine) James; sisters Christine Brown, Penny (Mike) Peck; son Ronald James; step sons Scott (Alicia) Gabel, and Randy Russell; step daughter Jennifer (Rick) Huffer; grandchildren Montana Russell, Jessica Taylor, Dustin Taylor, Morgon Russell, Shelby Peth, Hunter Frye, Seth Frye, and Angel McCormick.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister JeneAnn, brothers Dale and Ed, and a granddaughter Cheyanne.

Services will be on Tuesday January 28, 2025, at the Tabernacle of Praise on 63 South, Rolla. Visitation will be at 11:00 AM with Funeral Services at 12:00 PM with Pastor R.E. Teague officiating.
