Rusty Dean Carlile

Rusty Dean Carlile, age 66, of Rolla, Missouri, was welcomed to his eternal home in Heaven on November 21, 2024. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Rusty lived a life marked by adventure, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family.

Born on February 16, 1958, in Wichita, Kansas, Rusty found his life partner in Mary Ellen Morales of Aransas Pass, Texas, whom he married on April 19, 1986. Together they built a loving family that includes his children Willie Esquivel Jr., Art Esquivel, Shawn Carlile, and Amber Williams (spouse Travis Williams). His legacy lives on through his 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A man of many talents and interests, Rusty was equally comfortable riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle as he was tending to his garden or working on complex mechanical projects. His professional expertise spanned commercial diving, mechanical engineering, and innovative design work, encompassing electrical and hydraulic systems. He had an inventor's mind and skilled hands that could bring his creative ideas to life through fabrication.

Known for his generous spirit, Rusty never hesitated to help others in need, freely sharing his time and extensive knowledge. His protective nature was reflected in his fierce loyalty to family and friends. A peace-loving soul with an adventurous heart, he approached life's challenges with unwavering determination. Rusty was a fine man of impeccable character and a good example for all.

Rusty loved God. He had a personal relationship with Him through his belief in Jesus Christ. He often spoke of the wonder of His creation and of what Heaven would be like. Rusty looked forward to eternity with Christ and with his loved ones who have gone before him.

Rusty is preceded in death by his mother, Sue Anne Works (Dannels) of Brenham, TX, and his father, Jim Lawrence Carlile of Georgetown, TX. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Ellen, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, his brother Kevin Carlile (spouse Beth Carlile), his sisters Debra Tolliver-Weinberger (spouse Ed Weinberger), Carla Lawrence (spouse Gene Lawrence), Beth Weers (spouse Gary Weers), and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 2 at 9:30 am at St. Patrick's Church in Rolla, Missouri. Funeral service to follow at 10:30.
