Sherman Sorrell

Sherman Sorrell, age 88, of Salem, MO went home to be with the Lord on August 11, 2023.    He was born July 12, 1935, to Earl and Leta (Reynolds) Sorrell.

He proudly served in the Army for two years.  Sherman was a proud member of the Eagles and the American Legion in Salem.  He owned and operated D&S Autobody for many years in Bolivar, MO where he enjoyed rebuilding cars, especially Cadillac’s.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Donna (Porter) Sorrell, brothers Edward Lee and Joe Sorrell and one sister Coquette (Sorrell) Miles.

He is survived by his daughter Sherri and husband Pete Logan of Minnesota, son Michael and wife Lana Ihne of Arkansas, grandson Evan and wife Ellie Ishmael of New York, granddaughter Payton Ihne, and grandson Reece Ihne, sister-in-law Dena Porter, many nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

There will be a graveside service with Honor Guard at Eastlawn Cemetery & Funeral Home at 2244 E Pythian Street, Springfield, MO 65802 on August 25, 2023, at 11:30 am.
